planning process to determine the future use
of Village structures.

- The structures are in poor condition, do not
comply with health and safety codes and will
require a substantial commitment of resources to
either stabilize or adaptively reuse. - Public comment has demonstrated support for
concession operation of the historic structures
to allow for the widest range of public
opportunity to experience the village. - Concessions feasibility study demonstrated
viability of concessions operation.

- Intent was to rehabilitate the landscape as Elk
habitat.

park. - Of the nearly 1200 historic structures in the
park nearly 600 had been removed. - 1990 both the SHPO and the Keeper of the National
Register determined that McGraw Ranch was
eligible for the National Register - The park disagreed.
- The National Trust other stakeholders
intervened and forced a reconsideration of the
decision to remove the structures.
