American Salvage and TradingAmerican Salvage and
Trading
  • American Salvage and Trading was established in
2003 as a subsidiary of TM Iron and Metals,
established in 1972, in Mulberry, Florida, to
service the phosphate industry and other clients
in central Florida. Since then, we have expanded
our service area to include the entire United
    States.
  • As a family owned business, American Salvage
operates as a tight-knit organization, in which
every employee works with the feeling of
accomplishment. They have the experience and
know-how to perform any job, large or small.
  • Our mission and top priority is to provide safe,
    environmentally responsible and cost effective
processes to deliver high quality results.
  • Our team has successfully faced such projects as
a major dismantlement at the Port of Savannah,
Georgia, a large citrus plant in Florida,
    chemical plants, and railroad derailments.

Asset Recovery
  • Asset Recovery, or dismantlement, is defined as
the process of completely bringing down a
structure while still preserving the material for
reuse. The main goal is asset recovery, in which
    the original capitalization is recapitalized.
This is achieved through the scrap material or
machinery. In order to complete this process,
there are several factors to consider due to the
fact that some structures such as chemical plants
    require a more calculated approach.
  • First, there are specific architectural
considerations for each job. This includes, but
is not limited to hazardous material, wiring,
unknown strengths and weaknesses of the materials
and, of course, the hidden materials within the
    structure.
