Title: Will Apple iWatch change the world?
1Will Apple iWatch change the world?
It is rumored Apple is set to release the iWatch
before the end of 2014, according to
KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo. This is
first product that Apple will have launched since
the iPad launch in 2010, which invented tablet
computing as we know it. Even more significantly,
this will be the first new Apple product launched
since the passing of Steve Jobs. The question is,
will it have the same impact as the iPad? Ipad

Although details of the iWatch are have not been
confirmed it is believed that the watch will come
in two separate sizes 1.3 inches and 1.5 inches,
and will naturally integrate with the iPhone,
iPad, and Mac. IPhone user interface design
Speculation still surrounds other details of the
iWatch such as the sapphire cover lens,
biometric recognition and NFC chip. Given Apples
resistance to adopt NFC to date and instead focus
on iBeacon, NFC adoption seems unlikely to us.
However, if they did adopt NFC, then likely all
other iOS devices from this point would also
adopt NFC, which would herald the mainstreaming
of NFC. IPhone app design
With the whole world watching for the first
post-Jobs new Apple product, its clear that
Apple are only going to release an iWatch if it
is amazing. They are reportedly working hard to
overcome some of the early complaints with
smartwatchs such as the Samsungs Galaxy Gear
which suffered from poor battery life and
charging issues by incorporating wireless
charging and a 200 to 250 mAh battery power that
will power an energy efficient chip. App design

A large criticism of Samsung Galaxy gear line,
and the coming Android Wear watches, is
that theyre effectively just expensive
notification screens that require an Android
device to piggy back off . So if Apple do
release iWatch, are they going to solve this by
having it function as a stand alone device that
doesnt need an iOS device to link to?
Analyst Kuo predicted the top of the line iWatch
to to sell for thousands of dollars, which to
us this seems excessive, compared to the top of
the line iPhone. Kuo predicted iWatch to be
released late this year, so I guess only time
will tell (pun intended).
