Have you ever been stuck on a word when you are
reading?
Here are five strategies to help you become a
better reader!

Strategy 1Check the Pictures
I have a dog. He is a chihuahua.
This is a hard word. Now try it with the picture
I have a dog. He is a chihuahua.

Strategy 2 Go Back and Reread
When you are stuck go back to the beginning of
the sentence and start over!

Strategy 3Get Your Mouth Ready
Say the first few letters right away!
