One afternoon , Max and T-rex were playing with
Maxs new colorful ball in Max's backyard. Max
is a golden retriever with a silky golden coat,
and T-Rex is a Chihuahua. Hes tiny with a stiff
brown coat. Little did they know there was a
criminal cat on the lose.

They heard the mailman whistling down the
street. So, they yelled "MAIL MAN" excitedly and
took off running down the street.
"Wait," yelled T-Rex. I left my golden collar
in your back yard. Max turned and said, "OK,
I guess we'll have to wait."

They went back to the backyard. "Where is my
golden collar?" asked T-Rex.
"How am I supposed to know," said Max. "Let's
search." "Wait, first where did you go today?"
"Why?" said T-Rex. "We need to retrace your st
eps," said Max. "OK, first I went to your hous
e and played with your new ball and then we
chased the mailman." "Then, its got to be her
e somewhere," said Max.

"OK," said T-Rex. So, they searched and
searched, but they still couldn't find it. I
really, really need to find this collar because
my great, great, great dog father gave it to me
it has been passed down through the years.

A plump, colorful parrot flew in from an oak
tree. "Hello, my name is Billy, Billy Plump. I
know where your special collar is, but I can't
tell you who has it. Well, actually, I could make
a deal with you if you give me some seeds from
your house. Specifically, your sunflower seeds.

Max said, "OK, I'm goin' in to get the sunflower
seeds." He ran faster, faster, faster, and
busted down the door and grabbed the sunflower
seeds and dashed out. After Max gave Billy the
seeds, Max's owner came charging at him. T-Rex
said, "Busted!" Kaliey, the owner of Max said,
Bad boy. Now Ive got to fix the door and you
have to stay inside for awhile .

Come on, T-Rex, asked the big, plump bird,
Billy. "So, who was it?" "Some cat named Fluff
y. She is pretty and white. You cant miss her
and her crew in the junk yard," he said unclearly
as he was scarfing down seeds.
"OK," said T-Rex as Billy tried to get up the
tree, but his weight was weighing him down.

Finally, Max was back outside. T-Rex explained
everything and they looked at the gate. It
wasn't open, so then Max and T-Rex went in to see
if Kelley, one of the nicest pet owners in the
town, and her friend, Hannah, the owner of T-Rex,
will walk them. They said, "Sure, why not."

They started walking and then Max started
counting down 3, 2what's next?uhhhh 1." They
took off running down the street to the junk
yard.

They peeked in from the side of the fence. They
saw an army of cats marching back and forth
guarding a white fluffy cat. She had the golden
collar around her chunky white neck.
They said What are we going to do?
Well we have to make a plan.
So what is the plan? OK, we know that Fluff
y likes shiny things. YEAH! If we get so
mething that is shiny, then Fluffy will want the
shiny thing. Okay, well have to get something
shinny, so she will just hand it to us. I know
what we can use. What? My new shiny ball,
said Max. Are you sure? said T-Rex.

Max ran home to get the ball as fast as he could
and then he came back. They climbed up the pile
of trash behind Fluffy. OUCH! T-Rex tried to
hold it in while Max put his paw over his snout.
I stepped on a piece of glass, whispered T-Re
x. Take it out of your paw.

Alright. they snuck up behind her and threw
the ball up into the air. It rolled down the
hill of trash. She ran down the hill to get it
and left the golden collar laying on the beach
chair she calls it her throne. Max and T-Rex
grabbed the golden collar. The cat saw them
running down the hill of trash and yelled.

They made it home safely. WE GOT IT!!!
