- When class got too noisy, teacher would raise her
hand, and the rest of the students would also
raise their hands and quiet down

- At beginning of the year, teacher made his
expectations very clear about handling
discipline
- He primarily tries to deal with problems himself
by listening to students problems instead of
sending them to main office to be disciplined

and students had opportunity to earn extra credit
if they shared their writing out loud
