Newsletter September 2006
  • If youve just joined the school a special big
    welcome to the PTA. Welcome back to the new
    school year for all other parents! You
    automatically became a member of the PTA when you
    joined the school. The PTA exists to
  • Organise events that are fun and memorable, which
    help build a sense of community at our school,
    and
  • Raise money for the benefit of all the children
    at the school now and in the future.

Find out more
PTA social You can be involved in the PTA in a
tiny little way, or a really big way or you can
just come along and hear what we get up to, and
see some of the great new equipment that was
purchased over the summer as a result of events
such as the circus this one record-breaking
event raised over 3400. Please come along for
coffee cakes, See overleaf for a summary of
money raised and what weve bought with it!
Thursday 28th September Thursday 9.15am
Thursday October 12th 2.45pm onwards. Donations
of school uniform and cakes would be very
welcome. Uniform can be brought into school
beforehand, and cakes on the day!

Schools Vouchers
We collect vouchers for all the main school
schemes Tesco Sports Vouchers is the latest
scheme. There are also Box Tops for books tokens
on most Nestle cereals boxes. There are little
bins in the library to collect vouchers your
children can take them there, or you can of
course drop any vouchers into the office. If your
friends and relatives dont have children ask
them to collect vouchers and tokens for you!
Money, money, money!
  • Yes we really did raise 7,152.65 last year
    from our various events such as Bonfire Night and
    the Circus! Heres some of things weve spent the
    money on
  • Circus workshops which all children attended 500
  • School books 2000
  • New hall PA system 922
  • Loads of new equipment for all years Nursery to
    Year 2 was bought over the summer, totalling
    1800 e.g. mini art islands, KNex and water
    trays.
  • Look out for a new notice board too the PTA
    have paid half the cost of this at 400

7,152.65
No we dont look like this not even on a bad
day! Were just parents and wed love to meet
any new parents! You can leave a note for us at
the school office, see us at any of our meetings,
or catch us in the playground. Some names to get
you started Susie Cornish our Chairperson (has
a son in year 1) Clare Russell our Treasurer
(has a son in year 1) Sarah Hill our catering
co-ordinator (has a son in year 2) Lani Wisner
our secretary (has a son in year 2) Alison Berry
publicity / newsletters (has daughters in Year
R and Year 2)
