Jesus Statement

• Matthew 2229-30 - 29Jesus answered and said to
  them, You are mistaken, not knowing the
  Scriptures nor the power of God. 30For in the
  resurrection they neither marry nor are given in
  marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.
• How will we be like the angels?
• We will not marry not be given in marriage.
• There will be no grooms or brides.

Male or Female?

• There are no feminine angels in the Bible. Nor
  do they ever take the form of children or infants
  like the cherubs of popular art and culture. The
  only two angels that are named in the Bible have
  masculine names, Michael and Gabriel. They
  usually appear as young men in shining white
  garments. This isnt the only form they take, of
  course, but it seems to be the norm.

Male or Female?

• However, this one qualification needs to be
  added. Remember that angels are spirit beings and
  that gender is a product of our physical bodies.
  Thus, angels are not truly masculine or feminine,
  but when they assumed human form in Scripture, it
  was typically as described earlier, but never as

Conclusion

• It is difficult for humans to comprehend the
  spiritual world.
• It is believed that because of their kindness,
  tenderness, and compassion artists have chosen
  the feminine form to illustrate angels.
• When we get to heaven we will be like the
  angels.
