  • Students scoring in the advanced proficient
    category in either Mathematics or Language Arts
    Literacy ASK6 Standardized Test given Spring 2006

Education
  • Is a New Jersey based program which enables
    students the opportunity to attend an Academic
    Interest Lecture at a local college campus.
  • Students are invited to take the SAT.
  • Students will receive mailings about workshops,
    courses and summer opportunities
  • REGISTRATION IS DONE THROUGH LAZAR

  • Students are invited to take the SAT.
  • Students will receive mailings about workshops,
    distance learning and family academic conferences
  • Registration for Hopkins is NOT done at Lazar

REGISTRATION for ROGATE(PAGE 2)
  • Send to Lazar the program selection sheet p.4
  • Fill out the ROGATE application p.5 and Student
    Photographic Release Form. (Not part of the
    packet)
  • Enclose a check for 22.00 payable to Robert R.
    Lazar Middle School
  • Please place paperwork and check in an envelope.
    Student can bring it to the Guidance Department
    on their way to homeroom by OCTOBER 25TH THE
    LATEST!

REGISTRATION FOR HOPKINS CTY
  • YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
  • Fill out and mail the application in the middle
    of the Hopkins brochure and enclose a check for
    35.00 payable to JHU/CTY to Hopkins by November
    20th.
  • Page 4, the program selection sheet, needs to be
    returned to Lazar by October 25th THE LATEST!

  • Use the SAT Registration Bulletin to complete the
    application stapled in the center of the booklet.
  • Enclose a check for 41.50 payable to SAT Program
    before December 20th for the January 27th test.
    Or register online.
  • Follow the application information section on
    page 3 of the information packet to assist you
    with the SAT application.
  • YOU NEED TO MAIL THIS TO SAT!

WHY TAKE THE SAT?
  • A decision made by the student and parent
  • Taking the SAT it is a measurement of what the
    student has already mastered. It is the same
    test as High School students take.
  • STUDENTS SHOULD NOT STUDY OR TAKE REVIEW/PREP
    CLASSES!!!
  • Students are encouraged to go over the practice
    pamphlets just to familiarize themselves on the
    makeup of the test.
  • Mrs. Meenan will hold a workshop on the basic
    setup of the SAT and what to expect. NO formal
    teaching of concepts will occur.
