Mission To provide management advice and
consulting to socially-conscious, Boston-area
non-profits, to help them better serve their
constituents.

- Founded in Boston in 1990
- Drawn on the talents of more than 300 MBA
volunteers - Completed more than 70 projects for Boston-area
non-profit organizations - Managed and staffed by MBA volunteers

16Clients Role
- Inform the organization of our project and
encourage openness and support by different
constituencies. - Be an active participant in the consulting
project ask questions, offer ideas and raise
issues. - Provide a contact person who will coordinate
visits and meetings and be the primary interface. - Work with the Project Manager and team to refine
the scope, develop an effective work plan and
support the project to its conclusion. - Keep us honest if we are not providing value,
let us know so we can refocus.

- Project is equivalent of a 2 to 3 week engagement
with 2 full-time consultants - Manage expectations of yourself and client
- Maintain good records

18Cautions
- Recognize that much of what you hear may be
sensitive and not for public disclosure. Do not
discuss the project details outside CCT. - Remember that CCT does not have liability or
other insurance coverage for our volunteers. - CCT has limited resources most of the
reproduction, transportation, entertainment, and
other admin costs are typically absorbed by the
volunteers or their client organizations. If you
need project funds discuss with the project
sponsor.
