Title: Catholic Schools
1- Catholic Schools
- Light the Way
2Our Theme this Year
- Catholic Schools Light the Way
- " Our theme focuses on the leadership that
Catholic Schools provide to our nation, producing
graduates who light the way to a brighter future
for all humankind. The theme also highlights the
spiritual foundation of Catholic schools, for we
are on "The Way," a biblical term used to
describe those who follow Jesus as disciples. The
slogan, "Catholic Schools Light the Way,"
reminds us that we are called to "light the way"
to the kingdom for others even as we walk "the
way" of discipleship and grow in faith ourselves.

6What Is Responsible for the Success of Catholic
Schools
- Building Social Capital
- More actively involved in their church
- Give more generously to their church
- They are more hopeful, trusting and more tolerant
of others, benign in their images of God, are
aware of the complexity of moral decision making
and supportive of the equality of woman.
7What Is Responsible for the Success of Catholic
Schools
- Students have also been found to be less
militaristic in their approach to resolving
conflict and less militaristic in their outlook
on life. - They expressed greater racial acceptance, greater
concern for others, greater willingness to
participate in community affairs and to volunteer
their time, more support for marriage and
monogamy as a lifestyle, and they valued more
highly the importance of making a difference in
society. - Recent studies also document the academic
vitality of Catholic schools.
8Mission Statement
We believe that Jesus Christ entrusted to His
Church the task of making disciples of all
nations. As an integral part of St. Colette
Parish, St. Colette School is committed to teach
