7The Picture Today
- The NRC Traffic Mitigation Plan term ended in
2004. - Also in 2004, the NRC staff began to grow after a
long period of relative stability. - In anticipation of 20 or more new nuclear power
reactor applications coming in this year and the
next two, NRC is gearing up to license the new
plants.
8How Are We Doing?
- NRC headquarters is deconsolidating.
- We acquired more office space in Bethesda and in
North Bethesda. - We continue to maintain a healthy modal split
with 36 percent transit use and about 11 percent
ridesharing for the two-building White Flint
Complex.
