• This is the award presented to a Missouri Quality
  Award volunteer who has made significant,
  long-term contributions to the advancement of
  theMalcolm Baldrige criteria and organizational
  qualityin Missouri.

• Each year, an honoree is selected from a pool of
  nominations submitted by fellow Missouri Quality
  Award volunteers. This is the second annual
  award recognizing one deserving individual.
• (The first "Williamson Award for Achievement in
  Quality was
• awarded in 2006 to Sue Fletcher of Lake Regional
  Hospital.)

• Jim Williamson
• The James Williamson Award for Achievement in
  Quality is named after a special person that
  truly epitomizes quality. He is widely respected
  as a pioneer in the state for the advancement of
  quality and the Malcolm Baldrige criteria.
• James (Jim) Williamson has helped countless
  Missouri organizations to improve performance
  excellence.
• For over 18 years, Jim has coached organizations
  in strategic planning, benchmarking, effective
  use of teams and the list goes on and on.
• Mr. Williamson is a former member of the Malcolm
  Baldrige National Quality Award Board of
  Examiners.

Standing Ovation at the 2007 MQA Examiners Banquet

• Don is recognized Wednesday, November 14, before
  approximately 100 fellow MQA examiners. Nominated
  by his peers, Don has been identified as a
  role-model, encourager and mentor to many new
  Missouri Quality Award examiners.
• Don has represented DESE and served as an MQA
  examiner for the past six years four of those
  as a senior examiner and this year as a mentor.
  During that time, he has lead five examiner teams
  as they conduct assessments of organizations who
  are striving for quality and improved performance.

  approximately 300 business and organizational
  leaders at the prestigious2007 Missouri Quality
  Award Banquet held at Tan-Tar-A.
