for at least 15 seconds. The cook covered the
rice and left it on the stove until she reheated
it for service at 12noon. Within an hour of
eating the rice, several children began vomiting,
and a few had diarrhea. Samples from the children
revealed that the rice, not the other
ingredients, was considered the cause of the
