What is Moderation and Tolerance?
The definition of Moderation is a lessening or
calming down or the practice of not going to
extreme.Whereas for the definition of Tolerance
is putting up with and being fair to people whose
ways and opinions are differents from ones
own.Example?

Types of religions and percentage in Singapore.

HARI RAYA PUASA
  • The cultural practices that they carried out are
  • All Muslims adults must fast from dawn to sunset
    during the month of Ramadan.
  • During fasting,Muslims must not smoke or have
    sexual relationships.
  • During Hari Raya,Muslims go to the mosque to
    pray.
  • They then visits their friends and relatives to
    exchange greetings and ask for forgiveness.

CHRISTMAS
  • The cultural practices that they carried out are
  • Christians will go to the church where they pray
    and read the Bible.
  • During Christmas, they will exchange gifts.
  • The christians will decorate the Christmas trees
    with lights.
  • It symbolises Gods great of the saviour.

DEEPAVALI
The cultural practices that they carried out are
  • During Deepavali,the house is decorated.
  • They offer prayers and visit close friends and
    relatives.
  • The Hindus wake up early in the morning for oil
    bath.
  • A design made of flour is drawn at the entrance
    of the house.
  • Hindus visit the temple at the day of Deepavali.

CHINESE NEW YEAR
The cultural practices that they carried out are
  • Houses are cleaned as it believed drives away
    ill-luck and misfortune.
  • The Chinese also believed that it is good to
    have a clean place to greet the new year.
  • This signifies abundance and prosperity
    throughout the coming year.
  • On the day,relatives and friends visit one
    another to renew and strengthen relationship.
  • Homes are filled with fresh flowers such as plum
    blossoms,and new year prints and auspicious
    sayings written on red paper are put up to greet
    the new year.
