28A tiny aboriginal school at Cosmo Newberry in
the outback 250 miles from the next town,
Kalgoorlie! (classes of 5 pupils) Teachers and
district office staff have to have 4 wheel drive
lessons! The only way into some of the schools
is by air and 4 wheel drives so the teachers
arent allowed to take their own cars - most
everything is provided for them!
293 The Outback lots of red dirt
30This street was flooded the other week, so the
principal had to go pick the kids up by 4wd...
which he then bogged - so the first lesson for
the day was on snap straps and how they come in
handy when the government education vehicle is
sinking in the mud.All remote schools have their
own 4 wheel drives.
1 the main drag. No, there is no official street
name.
313 Looking into our backyard from the school
nope, not far to travel every day to work! if
you look close, you can probably see the pool we
assembled on the weekend.
