• Rationale Interaction outside the classroom
  between students and faculty, as well as among
  students themselves, plays a significant role in
  shaping the educational atmosphere of the
  University.
• Mission
• To expand the authenticity and vitality of the
  learning environment by increasing the range and
  quality of student-faculty contact beyond the
  classroom.
• To foster an environment in which learning and
  living are increasingly interlinked.
• To provide undergraduates with adult role models
  who take seriously the challenge of meaningfully
  integrating intellectual activities into their
  daily lives.
