Real Estate Agents must work with a broker.

• Real estate brokers spend a significant amount of
  time looking for properties to buy or sell. They
  obtain agreements by owners to place properties
  for sale with them. 
• The Real Estate Agents in the firm will also look
  for properties to list, but primarily work to
  find properties for buyers and buyers for sellers.

  who do not have a brokers license have to work
  with a broker.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Most real estate brokers work in an office
  environment, but may spend a lot of their time
  traveling to meet with clients, view new
  properties for sale, and meet with potential
  clients. Its very common for real estate brokers
  to work more than forty hours per week.
