What is it?

• Indicator of how fast and how far blood sugar
  rises after consuming a food that contains
  carbohydrates.

Why do We Care?

• Insulin resistance can occur and that is often a
  dangerous precursor to diabetes and may also be
  the most common cause of other chronic and life
  threatening diseases.

  civilization.
