  does not know
• Example horror movies and Borne Identity
• Look out behind you!

• When something happens opposite of how one
  expects it to happen
• Example Spiderman doesnt stop the thief
• If hed only known!

Verbal irony

• When a person says one thing but means another
• Example sarcasm

• Something that represents something greater than
  itself

• A story told to teach a moral lesson
• Uses realistic settings and characters
• Usually springs the point of the story at the end
