showcase our skills from many of our courses - A site selling DVDs would be suitable to all

- System Purpose
- The purpose of this site is to establish a cyber
place where people with an interest in DVD movies
can stop, learn and shop. - Project Scope
- The intended product will provide a web based
e-commerce site where any person with internet
access may purchase DVD movies. The product will
be completed within the time frame of this class.
6Design Considerations
- Look and Feel
- Site shall have a deliberate look and feel
- Portability
- Design shall be portable from one browser type to
another and one platform to another - Bandwidth Constraints
- Design shall ensure that no page shall take
longer than 20 seconds to download

- Access and Presentation
- Site shall provide easy access to site content
and information the presentation shall be clear
and simple - Transition Quality
- All pages and site navigations shall provide a
smooth and natural transition from one page to
another

- Use of White Space
- The web design shall be composed of enough white
space as to allow objects to be clearly discerned
from each another - Continuity and Consistency
- Each site element and object shall clearly look
like they are from the same site

- Design for Location
- Placement of information, text, graphics, links,
and elements on the screen shall be considered - The Users Eye
- The design shall guide the users eye in a
natural, smoothly flowing fashion on the screen

- Hierarchy Structure
- The hierarchy structure of the site shall be
constructed so that it is easy to navigate - Interaction
- The site shall use links, meaningful column
headings, and short descriptions to aid in user
interaction

- Hypertext Links
- Any hypertext links shall open a new browser
window - Site Navigation
- Two of the three frames will always remain static
on the screen - the primary navigation buttons
will be text as graphics with ALT key navigation
enabled.

- Graphics and Color
- Graphical images shall be of low contrast muted
quality - HTML Frames
- All frames used in the site shall be of HTML
construct to ensure the greatest scope of system
and browser compatibility.
