STAGEnetHistory

• ITD begins providing Schools with Internet access
  throughout the mid 1990s
• After a couple of years, ITD turned over
  networking operations to EduTech by creating
  NDSchoolNet (grew to about 40 schools)
• 1999 - Legislation is passed that ITD provide
  Internet access to all School districts as well
  as higher education.
• 2001 - ITD rolls out STAGEnet to all K12 school
  districts (ATM T1 minimum)
