What are the 5 story elements?
  • Characters-- who the story is about
  • Setting-- when and where the story takes place
  • Plot-- what the story is about
  • Conflict-- the problem in the story
  • Resolution-- how the problem is solved

What is a fable?
  • a short, fiction story
  • characters are usually animals
  • teaches a lesson, or moral

Cooperative groups
  • Reader--reads the fable and any other
    instructions
  • Writer--writes answers for group assignments
  • Encourager/Evaluator--encourages group to stay on
    task and evalutes the groups work
  • Spokesperson--speaks for the group
