Saturn is about one billion miles from the Sun.
That is ten times farther away then the Earth.
Saturn is the 6th planet in the Solar System.

Saturns rings are made up of rocks and ice
chunks. No one is sure what formed them, but they
think they are made from comets. There are seven
rings. We have named them A, B, C, D, E, F, and
G. Saturns rings are as thick as a football
field.

If you weighed 100 pounds on Earth you would
weigh about 112 pounds on Saturn. That is because
it has more gravity then the Earth.

Saturn is named after a Greek god. He was the sun
of Uranus and the father of Jupiter. Saturns
symbol looks like an h with a cross at the top.

Saturn has 33 moons. That is the most moons of
any planet. Only 18 of them are named. Here are a
few of there names Pan, Atlas, Mimas, and Titan.
Titan is the biggest moon.

half of an Earth day. Saturns year is 29.46

That is because it is so far away from the sun.

helium. It is also made up of other things such
as water and ice.

Saturn is a Gas Giant. That means it is mostly
made of gas. The gas is mostly hydrogen but it
has helium, nitrogen, and oxygen in it.
