The Story of a Skull

• With a partner write down what you can learn from
  an animal from just its skull.

• Canine teeth are large, long and pointed
• Cheek teeth are sharp and pointed
• Can not move lower jaw side to side
• Very white with few stains

• The relative size of the nasal passage is an
  indication of sense of smell.
• Cats have a short nasal passage
• Coyotes have a long nasal passage

• Encase the inner and middle ear
• The larger the greater the sense of hearing
