• Opening paragraph - your reason for writing, your
  interest in the job, you enthusiasm
• focus on capturing their attention
• set the tone of the letter - professional, but be
  yourself - give them a hint of your personality
• Please consider my application, needs work

• summarize your relevant qualifications
• emphasize your accomplishments
• stress your experience - volunteer jobs etc.
• suggest desirable personal qualities
• justify salary requirements? should you mention
  money in the cover letter?
• refer to your resume

The closing paragraph

• You might has the reader for a specific action
  an interview, come to your office to talk, meet
  your nearest rep.
• Dont DEMAND, but sound keen, flexible,
• make it easy for anyone who is interested to get
  hold of you phone number, best time to reach
  you, e-mail address, when you check your voice
  mail and e-mailetc.

• Sound busy and industrious
• Use your youth to your advantage - Be
  enthusiastic and flexible.
• Be a risk taker
• All experiences, especially failures, teach us
  something valuable. Dont be afraid to share them.

• Studies prove, businesses hire people who
  frequently mention the name of the company
• Do your homeworkfind out something about the
  company. Use it in your cover letter and in your
  interview
• Say their name. State their mission. Imagine
  youre already working there.
• Is this really a good fit for you? Why do you
  want to join them?
