Title: The Challenge of His love
1The Challenge of His love
- Ps 1387 Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me . And Your right hand will
save me.
Micah 68 He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you? To act
justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with
your God.
2What was meant to be!
- Genesis 27-9
- the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the
ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath
of life, and the man became a living being. Now
the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in
Eden and there he put the man he had formed. And
the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of
the ground trees that were pleasing to the eye
and good for food. In the middle of the garden
were the tree of life and the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil.
3Intimacy with God
- Psalm 1391-3
- O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You
know when I sit and when I rise you perceive my
thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and
my lying down you are familiar with all my ways. - Psalm 1397-10
- Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee
from your presence? If I go up to the heavens,
you are there if I make my bed in the depths,
you are there. If I rise on the wings of the
dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me, your right
hand will hold me fast.
4The promise to restore what was meant to be
- John 141-3
- "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in
God trust also in me. In my Father's house are
many rooms if it were not so, I would have told
you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come back and take you to be with me that you
also may be where I am.
5Where do you want to be?
- Colossians 33-4
- For you died, and your life is now hidden with
Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life,
appears, then you also will appear with him in
glory. - Revelation 213-4
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will
live with them. They will be his people, and God
himself will be with them and be their God. He
will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will
be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away."
6The invitation is still open
- Revelation 2217
- The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him
who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let
him come and whoever wishes, let him take the
free gift of the water of life. - Revelation 2220
- He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am
coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
7Time is getting short!
- Revelation 2212-14
- "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me,
and I will give to everyone according to what he
has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First
and the Last, the Beginning and the End. "Blessed
are those who wash their robes, that they may
have the right to the tree of life and may go
through the gates into the city.
8- Matthew 246-14
- You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but
see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things
must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in
various places. All these are the beginning of
birth-pains. "Then you will be handed over to be
persecuted and put to death, and you will be
hated by all nations because of me. At that time
many will turn away from the faith and will
betray and hate each other, and many false
prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love
of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to
the end will be saved. And this gospel of the
kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a
testimony to all nations, and then the end will
come.
9It is all about relationship
- Matthew 721-23
- "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will
enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does
the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will
say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out
demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will
tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from
me, you evildoers! - Daniel 1132
- but the people that do know their God shall
be strong, and do exploits. (KJV)
10Is He walking with you?OrAre you walking with
Him?
11- Romans 838-39
- For I am convinced that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons, neither the present
nor the future, nor any powers, neither height
nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12Romans 834 Who is he that condemns? Christ
Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to
life is at the right hand of God and is also
interceding for us.
13Romans 832He who did not spare his own Son, but
gave him up for us all how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things?
14- Romans 828
- And we know that in all things God works for the
good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose.
15Romans 815 For you did not receive a spirit that
makes you a slave again to fear, but you received
the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba,
Father."
