College Now is a program designed to benefit you
in 3 ways
- Avoid Course Duplication
- Earn College Credit Early
- Save Money

High school teachers and college instructors meet
every year to evaluate courses that are taught at
both the high school and college.
After courses are evaluated, instructors
determine what objectives must be taught to allow
the high school course to be eligible for college
credit.

High school teachers agree to teach the required
course objectives and the college agrees to give
the students the opportunity to earn college
credit.

How does this help you?
If you take a College Now course in high school
and earn credit, you do not have to take it again
in college. Example High School Computerized

College Survey of Accounting
6Earn College Credit Early
Because a College Now high school course has the
same course objectives as the college course, you
earn college credit hours for each College Now
course you take.

FYI A full time college student is one who is
enrolled in 12 or more college credit hours.

You can take up to five College Now courses in
high school.

A 3 hour college course at Arkansas Northeastern
College will cost approximately 300 for tuition,
books and fees.
College Now courses are completely free! No
tuition, no book fees, no cost!

You can possibly save up to 1,500.00! 5 College
Now courses x 300 per course 1500.00 that you
do not have to pay!

Why do I need to do that?
- Choosing a career path in high school will better
prepare you for a career while earning college
credit will give you a head start on earning a
college degree.

13So whats the catch?
There are only 3 requirements that you must meet
in order to receive the credit.
14Requirement 1
You must earn an 80 or better and master the
required objectives.
15Requirement 2
You must enroll in a credited course at ANC
within 15 months after high school graduation.
16Requirement 3
You must notify the admissions office at ANC of
your College Now credit by presenting your
certificate or indicating that you have earned
credit on your ANC college admission form.

Can I use my College Now credit at another
college?
Answer You must take at least one course at ANC
to get the credit posted to your transcript. You
may then contact any other college you are
interested in and ask if they will accept the
credit at their institution. Each college has
the right to accept or deny credit.

How do I know if I earned credit?
Answer At the end of the course, your teacher
will turn in the names of the students who made
an 80 or better and met the course objectives.
We will mail those students a certificate. If
you receive a certificate, you will then have
credit that can be posted to your ANC transcript
once you enroll.

What happens if I transfer to another high school?
Answer College Now will continue to hold your
earned College Now credit. If you transfer to
one of the 20 area schools that College Now
works with, you can continue to add to the credit
you have already earned.
21Frequently Asked Questions
I registered last year do I have to register
again?
Answer Yes. Every time you enroll in a College
Now course you must register for that course.
The course will be added to any other courses
that you have taken in previous years.

What if I lose my certificate?
Answer You can still receive your credit by
marking the appropriate box on your college
admission form or talking with the admissions
office.
