  coup when he overthrew the king.
• Put friends and relatives in positions of power
  and had any opposition people killed.

Why did the UN get involved?

The Future

• Gaddafi might be able to stay in power and
• Win against the rebels.
• The rebels might win control of the country.

The trouble is if Gaddafi is overthrown, who
will replace him and will they be any better?
