Geographic Location

• Located in northern parts of North America,
  Europe, and Asia.
• Usually south of Tudras and north of temperate
  deciduous forests.
• Largest land biome on earth.
• Covers 50 million acres (17 of earths land area)

• Summer temperatures can reach 50 degrees F
• Short summers can be 50 to 100 frost free days
• Winter temperatures can drop to -40 F or lower
• Up to six months of long severe winters
