  • Mountains cover 20 of the Earths surface. They
    are in all oceans and are on all continents. They
    are created by changes in the Earths surface.

  • Mountains also have many plants, like

Deserts Is it hot or what?
  • It is strange in deserts, as it can get extremely
    hot in the daytime, but extremely cold at night.
    Imagine what the Sahara is like!

Oceans My Favorite!
  • Ahhh the calm air, the fresh breeze, oceans are
    great! The four oceans (Atlantic, Pacific,
    Indian, Arctic) cover 70.78 of Earth. Thats
    HUGE!!!!!!!!!
  • There is a GIGANTIC amount of animals in the
    ocean. Here are five

  • Sand Tiger Shark

Polar Brrrrrr
  • The ground here is permanently frozen
    (Permafrost). Thats right permanently. But,
    there are petroleum deposits, natural gases, and
    coal!
  • There arent many, but animals that live in the
    polar habitat are

  • Walrus
  • Penguins
  • There are some plants, too. They are

  • There are three types U-shaped, V-shaped, and
    Plain Valleys. U-shaped valleys are formed by
    glaciers, V-shaped and Plain by flowing water.

    North America! There are three types wet, dry,
    and mesic. They all have some water.

  • Most rivers go a long way and eventually end up

The Komodo Dragon!
  • These reptiles are the largest lizards alive, but
    are endangered! They are VERY large, and they eat
    whatever they can catch, even other Komodo! They
    only live on the Indonesian islands of Komodo,
    Rintja, Padar, Flores, Gili, Mota, and Owadi
    Sami. There are only about 2500 to 5000 of them
    left! They can weigh 300 pounds!
  • Structural Adaptations
  • Sharp Claws
  • Poisonous Saliva
  • Behavioral Adaptations
  • Bite its prey, then hide until it dies.
  • Then, it will rip apart the animal with its huge
    claws!

The Cactus!
  • Cacti reside in the desert, and are very pointy
    (they have many spines). They are usually green
    (thats why the text is green). They are my
    favorite plant.
  • The adaptations for Cacti are
  • Spines, which protect them from herbivores and
    provide shade for it.
  • A waxy coating called glaucus bloom helps
    reduce evaporation, so it gets more water.
  • It can stretch accordion-like, so it can hold
    tremendous amounts of water.
  • Cacti are my favorite because they are in the
    desert. I love the desert!
