Sustainable Development

• Mozambique has not yet developed sustainable
  development indicators. However, have been used
  PARPA as a tool to give response to sustainable
  development requests. Furthermore, as name says
  PARPA focus on poverty alleviation, which means
  creation of employment, generate community
  income, provide social infrastructure ( school,
  clinics, roads,etc )

Environmental Impact Assessment

• Mozambique has got environmental legislation, Law
  20/98 and Environment Impact Assessment
  Regulation. According to these two legal tools,
  there are same projects that require EIA. The EIA
  has about five main steps, starting from the
  scope to the final EMP. During that steps the
  consultation and participation of stakeholders (
  communities, private sector, etc ) is
  obligatory.
