  • What region does the animal live in? (forest,
    desert, ocean, etc..)
  • Describe the region? (temperature, climate (rain,
    snow, sunny).
  • What type of land does your animal live in?
    (grass, forest, water, etc..)

Description of the animal.
  • What color is your animal?
  • What size is your animal?
  • Does it have fur, scales, or skin?
  • Tell about its teeth.
  • Be sure to only tell what it looks like.

  • Does your animal eat plants? List the kinds.
  • Does your animal eat meat? List the kinds.

  • How many babies do they have?
  • How are the babies born? (egg or from its
    mothers belly)
  • How long is the female pregnant?
  • Describe the babies at birth

  • Give interesting facts.
  • How fast do they run?
  • How high can they climb?
  • How deep can they dive?
  • How long do they live?
  • Do they hibernate?

Using a Reference Book
  • Look for an encyclopedia with the first letter of
    your animal name.
  • Use guide words to find your animal in the
    encyclopedia.
  • Use the headings to find information on your
    animal.

Using the Internet
  • Use a search engine. Google is a great search
    engine.
  • Put the animal you are researching in quotation
    marks. Example Lemur facts
  • Click on the Go button or Enter button.

Creating a Power Point Slide
  • Each student will create one slide.
  • You need to put at least five interesting facts
    about your animal on your slides.
  • You may also draw you animal on your slide. You
    dont have to draw a picture. I will show the
    students who want to draw how to use the drawing
    tools.
  • We will presents our slide show to parents,
    family and friends one night in April.
