• Its is a software which is used to prevent,
  detect and remove any kind of malware. Although
  the antivirus software are specific but most of
  them can work on the commonly found malware. It
  acts as sole of our computer, without it our
  computer will not work properly.
• There are two ways on which antivirus works-
• Heuristic technique- In this technique
  computer as well as antivirus try to find most
  acceptable solution.
• Signature verification - in this
  verification antivirus companies have a directory
  of antivirus code. But for this verification we
  have to update the directory daily.

Malware

• Any kind of software which gets introduced into
  users computer system without our knowledge and
  permission and causes harm to the system is
  considered as malware.

Virus

• Virus means poison. It is actually a small agent
  of infection which can duplicate itself when it
  reaches a congenial environment. A computer
  program that can copy itself on a storage device
  and cause harm to it is called virus

Worms

• Worm are also computer program that replicate
  itself themselves but they are little different
  from virus. Worms generally do not attach
  themselves to other files. They travel through
  their own path. They do not corrupt the files.

Trojan horse

• This is a malware that cant replicate itself. It
  allows remote access to a computer system and
  allows and allows theft of data, downloading of
  files, detection and modification of files and
  passing on malware.

Spyware

• Spyware as the name suggest is a software that
  spies on your computer system. It steals
  information from your computer system. The
  information may range from your personal details
  to hacker

Spams

• Many times in your inbox you must have received
  mails from companies or people whom you dont
  know. These mails are junk mail and usually
  include an advertisement of some kind. some of
  them contain malware, which would harm and
  corrupt the window
