• The word Philanthropy means caring for man.
• Philanthropy is a process in which programs are
  developed for the betterment of the society. In
  this process funds are collected, different non
  profit organizations are promoted for a noble
  cause.
• The funds raised in this activity is a major
  source of income for several sectors such as
  educational institutions, health care centers
  etc.
• A person who is involved in such a charitable
  activity is known as Philanthropist.

• Charity and Philanthropy are extremely different.
  Charity means donating money to any social
  welfare organizations , which only lead to a
  temporary solution.
• Whereas Philanthropy aims providing a permanent
  solution for poverty .
• Philanthropy developing different organizations
  which aims at raising a huge funds and utilizing
  them appropriately for the welfare of society.
