• Mirrless Blackstone is an engine and spare parts
  manufacturing company which flowed through
  different business associations and advancements
  in the agriculture and automotive oil engines.
  The company started building diesel engines,
  which was lift from the oil engines. The new
  internal combustion engine was designed to run on
  vaporizing oil and the engine was ignited by the
  spark. The engine did not required hot bulb to
  create the hot spark, a kind of differentiation
  from several automobile engines produced during
  the times. By the year 1919 the engine was
  mounted with state of the art 25 hp 3 cylinder,
  which was later fitted in the crawler tractor. In
  the year 1929, the company was in the position to
  produce high end diesel engines for premier
  Agricultural General Engineers (AGE) group.

• In the year 1930, 'Ricardo' sleeve valve engine
  was on hype and Mirrlees planned two engines
  exemplifying this patent form of valve gear. The
  first type had a bore of 5.5 inches and produced
  a stroke of 6.5 inches, and developed the 20 BHP
  per cylinder at 900 r.p.m. The other one had bore
  of 17 inches and stroke of 21.5 inches, producing
  the 50 BHP per cylinder at 200 r.p.m.

• After the closure of AGE, Blackstone Co. played
  its role of being the poplar diesel engine
  builder, until the company was taken over by R A
  Lister and Company in 1937 and changed the name
  to Lister Blackstone. R A Lister Company was
  later bought by the Hawker Siddeley Group in the
  year 1965 and, finally as the company went
  through the reorganization, Lister took the name
  as Lister Petter and Blackstone transformed
  asMirrlees Blackstone.

• With the further development, Mirrlees
  Blackstone was sold to MAN Diesel. MAN Diesel
  also took over the diesel businesses of the
  collapsed GEC. The new office and warehouse
  facility that came into existence served as
  spares and servicing aftermarket for Lister
  Blackstone engines, but this time it was MAN
  Diesel Turbo tagline.     Today, MAN Diesel
  Turbo UK is helping many automobile and spare
