- Should the AME Association not be a national
association to have a bigger and stronger voice
to Industry and Government - I believe the AME Association should provide more
training seminars throughout the year. Also I
believe its time that we form a larger
organization by either combining the other AME
Associations to one. This would provide us more
visibility within the A/C community. At least we
should have once a year a National AME Conference
just like our friends in the USA. Other than
this I believe the Association is doing a great
job - Keep up the good work!
- If appropriate, establish an AME ASSOCATION OF
ONTARIO RETIREES CHAPTER (NO Im not looking
for a job!). Keep up the good work

- Make better use of your website I.e., forums,
polls etc. Then let the membership plot the
course of the association - The Air Maint. Update mag is very useful. Keep
it coming with more avionics and engine articles
(both turbine and especially piston) - Keep up the good work!
- Not enough apprentices and junior AMEs are
joining the association. When asked, their reply
always includes the fact that they feel 50.00 /
year is too high for annual fees. Could we
perhaps introduce a special introductory offer.
Another comment I hear quite often is that they
dont see what impact the AME Association or CAMC
has on their daily work related tasks therefore
why support them? Im sure better exposure at
the college level would be a step in the right
direction

- We have a voice with Transport Canada but TC only
hear what they want to. We have lost a lot of
privileges over the last 20 years. The
Association members are not consulted properly
before CARAC meetings especially when it involves
licensing issues - Mailing a reference to any new CAR that may
affect us on a quarterly basis. Notification on
any CARAC meeting that may affect us. We need to
be advised before its made a regulation, not
after. I.e., human factors, duty time etc - Let me start with the fact that I appreciate the
difficult job the AME association has. I think
the best thing the AME association can do for me
is keep me informed on what is going on at
Transport Canada. The size and location of my
company gives me a feeling of isolation. I find
it is one thing to read regulations (or any
information), but another to understand the
intent. Thanks
