Carmakers Adding High-Tech Perks

• Telematics are a top selling point for new
  vehicles
• 1.1 Billion increase in sales
• Many different tech
• perks and customization options
• Hands free, voice activated controls for many of
  the features make it easy for people on the go to
  get information they need quickly and safely

Verizon Wireless Launches Live Cell TV

• Hand-held mobile broadcast TV
• Competing with MobiTV and Modeo
• 200 for headset, but only 50 with new
  subscription to broadcast TV
• Subscription costs 15-25, but only available in
  certain cities at launch.
• Will host eight 24-hour channels that play almost
  exactly what they do on TV

Tokyo Introduces New Robot

• Researchers at the University of Tokyo have come
  up with the idea of the humanoid.
• The company Kawada Industries Inc. is responsible
  for the camera as the eyes of the Robot.
• The robot was created to be able to do household
  chores.

• Professor Sato raises awareness about Japan where
  1/5 elderly people living in the area are over 65
  and the creation of the Humanoid will allow the
  elderly some assistance.
• The cost of the robot is 400,000 but in the next
  10 years it is expected to drop to 4,000 per
  robot.

Estimation Salary

• Employees have been using websites such as
  Salary.com, PayScale.com, and Payscroll.com, to
  determine an estimation in salary.
• Payscroll.com will be opened up to the public
  April 2007.
• While investigating some employees have
  discovered they are being under paid for the job
  title that they hold.
• When visiting any of the websites, type in your
  job title and the city and zip code that you are
  employed in.
•  It gives estimation as to what you should
• be receiving in salary.

Freebie! Adobe in Photoshop

• Adobe will release a free online version of its
  popular Photoshop image-editing software.
• The online product will be a stripped-down
  version of the application.
• The company announced that it
• would enter a partnership
• Photobucket.

• The Photobucket features will become available to
  the site's users sometime in March.
• Adobe's shift to free online applications follows
  similar moves by other software makers.

RINBOT Virus

• RINBOT, is a dangerous computer virus that is
  capable of hijacking network systems of
  businesses worldwide.
• The computer virus that has already hit a
  division of at least one big U.S. Corporation.

• The 7th version of RINBOT first emerged in March
  2005.
• The virus quickly spreads and takes over many
  computers with the objective of turning the
  network
• a "zombie" network.
