  • As a boy, worked in a china factory painting

  • Enrolls in art school

  • Becomes friends with other artists monet,
    sisley, bazille
  • They develop a new style of painting called
    Impressionism
  • uses bright colors placed next to each other,
    quick brush strokes
  • Work outdoors, observe how light effects objects
    as it moves across sky
