2Mission Statement
The Kent State University Trumbull Campus
recognizes that, as an institution of higher
education, we have the responsibility and are
committed to fostering an environment which
appreciates and celebrates diversity. The
appreciation of characteristics -- such as race,
ethnicity, gender, age, national origin,
socioeconomic background and (dis)ability -- is a
vital lesson of higher learning. This Campus is
enhanced by having a diverse faculty, staff, and
student body. The purpose of the Trumbull
Campus Diversity Council is to raise an awareness
of diversity on our campus, as well as within our
community moreover, the mission is not only to
embrace diversity, but to encourage this attitude
in others through educational and artistic
programming as we strive for excellence in our
endeavors.
