INTRODUCTION Middle East History and Research
Water   Currently only 3 of the worlds water is
drinkable and 1.2 is frozen. The market need is
world wide with approximately 2/3 of the worlds
population without drinking water.   More than
three (3) Billion, 3,362,000,000 people live in
an area that is 6 hours or less from Dubai, part
of the United Arab Emirates, U. A. E.
INFORMATION SUPPORTING WATER VENDING
NEED   High population growth, has increased the
need for clean drinking water dramatically in
Dubai, U. A. E. and the surrounding countries.
Though there is a good pipeline serving Dubai and
the surrounding Emirates with municipal water it
is full of calcium, magnesium and Total Dissolved
Solids, TDS, totaling 500ppm, therefore bottled
water is the choice for drinking water. Municipal
water is highly chlorinated. There is a great
need for drinking water on a regular basis and
water for washing and cooking that is salt and
contaminate free.

  • Smart Cards and Coupons
  • Pre Paid Smart Cards will be used in a loyalty
program for customers to operate vending
dispensing units in the amounts of 20
litres, 50 litres, 100 litres and 200 litres.
  • Cards will be available from the vending
    operator at each location.
  • Location Owners will receive 10 of revenues as
rental of the location space for each litre of
water sold. This creates an immediate revenue
    stream for the location owner.
  • Smart Cards will expire and be discarded when
their limit is reached. Coupon books will be used
    for home and office delivery.
  • Coupons and Smart Cards eliminate and minimize
    cash exchanges, streamline inventory/revenue
    monitoring and control.
  • On site vendors will offer personal service,
sell bottled 500ml and 1.5l bottles and promote
delivery of 12l and 19l bottles. They will also
fill bottles for repeat customer pickup keeping
customer smart cards in numbered wallets.
Customers will give their number and pick up
their order with card usage recorded under their
    number.

In the United Arab Emirates 86 percent of the
countrys population is urban. Abu Dhabi is the
countrys capital and second largest city.
DUBAI A NATAURAL HUB - FACTS Dubai, located in
the emirate of the same name, is the largest city
in the UAE and the main trading center of the
entire Persian Gulf. It is home to the countrys
busiest airport and is the chief port and
commercial center of the UAE, and the principal
shipping, trading, and communications hub of the
Persian Gulf region. Port Rashid, a large
artificial port, lies within Dubai on the western
side of the creek, and Jebel Ali, the largest
artificial port in the world, is located 37 km
(23 mi) down the coast to the southwest. The
city is divided in half by Dubai Creek, which is
actually an inlet of the Persian Gulf. The
eastern side of the creek, the traditional city
center, is called Deira (or Dayrah), and the
western side is referred to simply as Dubai.
Dubai referred to as the Venice of the Gulf,
is a bustling, cosmopolitan city and a popular
tourist destination with a wide selection of
upscale shops and has close to 15 million
tourists a year. Dubai hosts an annual
high-stakes horse race, the famous Gold Souk with
over 200 shops selling gold and major tennis and
golf tournaments. Dubai has one of the highest
per capita incomes in the world. Although Dubai
owes its initial wealth to the discovery of oil
in the 1960s and this was the major contributor
to the GDP, today oil only contributes 10 of the
total GDP. 90 of the GDP is from the non oil
sector.

People Will Not Drink Tap Water Purchasing
bottled drinking water is a cost that is borne by
all, even the poorest people as no one can afford
to go without drinking water.    Water
requirements are expected to reach 36.7 BCM by
the year 2025. The domestic sector is the second
largest consumer of water, with the major
consumers in the Middle East being Saudi Arabia,
Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman. BCM

ULTRA FILTRATION HOLLOW FIBRE MEMBRANES a. Water
travels through thousands of hollow fiber ultra
filtration membrane fibers. b. Existing water
pressure forces water to the hollow center of the
membrane through billions of microscopic pores
that form a barrier to impurities. c. Particles
and pathogens such as parasites, bacteria and
viruses are physically removed from the water,
while natural minerals and salts remain.
