1
What is a Physician Hospital Compact?
  • A compact is an agreement that clearly states the
commitment of the medical staff and hospital
leadership to one another for the purpose of
improving patient care and furthering our mutual
    business interests.
  • It is developed by the medical staff and hospital
leadership as a living document to help achieve
a shared vision. The compact will evolve as
    healthcare changes.

executive committee prior to adoption. We need
    your input through March, 2008

Shared Vision
DRAFT
  • It is our vision that physician and hospital
leaders will be honest and transparent in
communication and planning. This will result in
trust and confidence and lead to mutual respect,
optimism, creativity and cooperation. The compact
that follows provides a framework of expectations
to govern daily interactions and to create future
policies. This compact will help to create the
preeminent health care delivery system, focused
on the patient-doctor relationship and the
establishment of a medical home for the patient
    and his primary physician.
