• Lymphedema is condition that has affected people
  since several years. In this condition, excess
  fluids accumulate in the tissues causing edema.
  Although lymphedema is not a totally curable

  are sequential gradient pump and FlexiTouch pump.
  The sequential gradient pump is primarily used
  for legs. It consists of automated pump that
  pushes the air into the sleeve which is placed on
  affected leg. The setting of the pump is such
  that it will first allow the sleeve to inflate
  and then release. This way lymphatic fluid is
  pushed from the leg to the body where it is
  returned to the cardiovascular system.

• A FlexiTouch pump is used for both arms and legs.
  This pump is used in the preparatory phase of the
  treatment and also at the time when the lymphatic
  fluid is being entered in the body. During this
  treatment the patient has to recline or sit in
  the recommended position. It is important to
  complete both the phases at the same time and it
  takes approximately 1 hour per day for the
  procedure.

• In treating lymphedema, it is important that the
  patient wears the right lymphedema garments as
  recommended by lymphedema specialist. Lymphedema
  treatment is a challenging task and therefore the
  patient needs to wear compression garment as soon
  as it is detected. Some patients do not like the
  idea of wearing such specific garments, but they
  dont have an alternate choice if they want a
  proper and speedy recovery.

  important to ensure that it complies with few
  factors such as coverage, appearance, compression
  class, custom made garments, material used, skin
  sensitivity, constructions, doffing and material
  used. It is critical to look for the coverage of
  such garments since the right garment will
  prevent the edema from remaining stagnant at a
