2The History of Pullman Park
- Built in 1934
- The Butler Athletic Club, using a volunteer work
force, began building on land donated by the
Standard Steel Car Company. Nearing completion,
money was needed to build the bleachers, when
500 was donated by the Cleveland Indians General
Manager Billy Evans to finish the project. - The first minor league team was the Cleveland
Indians in 1935 - Minor league team for the New York Yankees for 10
years starting in 1936 (called the Butler Yankees)
