What you need to doBEFORE the Update

• BACKUP the data folder. See Slide 3 Notes for
  directions.
• Users You must have a District Administrator
  assigned as a USER. See Slides 4 and 5 Notes for
  directions.
• Find your serial number in ALEXANDRIA. See Slide
  6.

Backup the DATA FOLDER

Edit gt Preferences gt Administration gt Global (See
Notes)
Click the sign to add new users.

Add New User
Select District Administrator from the dropdown
menu.

Locate the Serial Number for Your Copy of
Alexandria
Serial Number

Select UPDATES

First, Select to get to the file to be downloaded
to the Desktop
Select version 5.5.1.1

Second, complete the information requested
SUBMIT

Click on Alexandria v5.5.1.1 for WINDOWS

while youre here and then go back to getting the
download for the update once you have the DEMO on
your Desktop.

Rename the file ALEX DEMO 5.5.1. You will use
this for future training sessions. Actual
install will be later. Right now, go back to
download the UPDATE.

Click on Alexandria v5.5.1.1 for WINDOWS

Notice this icon is different than the Demo icon.
This is the Alex 5.5.1.1 INSTALLER.
Double-click on it. Follow the screen directions.

Setup Complete! CLOSE.

Shut down the computer and re-start it to accept
the new settings!

Double-click on the Shortcut

REBUILD,Checkmark ARCHIVE FIRST!

Once the REBUILD is done, Alex should open in the
updated version
