Question 1

• University Grants Commission
• University itself through its internal structure,
  like, academic council, grading system, teachers
  evaluation.
• Professional degrees, professional bodies,
  Institute of Engineers, Institute of Chartered
  Accountants, Bangladesh Nursing Council,
  Bangladesh Medical Council, Bar Council
• Concern is we do not have student representation
  in the academic council. Dhaka University statute
  provides 6 student elected representative in the
  senate body.

• Representation of the students in the decision
  making process
• Feedback from the market end users
• Quality of faculty in terms of qualification,
  training and experience
• Teacher-student ratio is unfavorable
• Faculty mix is also crucial as it is not
  favorable in many universities.
• Teaching aid and physical facilities are not
  adequate and modern
• Availability of good faculty members is a big
  concern
• Lack of integrity among some university system
• Lack of quality and standards in general

  be initiated cautiously
• Training and development of teachers
• Arrangement of feedback from market and end users
  and tracking down the alumna
• Capacity expansion of universities to set
  teacher-student ration in a favorable way
• To set the faculty mix in a proper way so that
  more senior and experienced teachers are
  available for the students
• Arrangement of teaching aids and improvement of
  physical facilities
