Ronald before his Presidency

• Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the
  united states. In 1932 he became a radio
  announcer and sports- caster . He appeared
  in 50 movies.
• He became interested in politics during 6
  terms as President of the Screen Actors
  Guild.

Ronald's Presidency

• He was then a liberal Democrat and a supporter
  of Franklin Roosevelts New Deal . Later he
  was with the Democrats who supported Dwight D.
  Eisenhower and Richard M. Nixon. When he joined
  the Republican party in 1962, he began to
  champion Conservative Causes and was an
  enthusiastically endorsed Presidential
  candidate .

• In 1980, he won the nomination for president
  and defeated his running mate George H. W.
  Bush. Reagan was about to start his presidency
  until he was shot by John Hinckley Jr., but
  fortunately recovered quickly and completely. In
  1983 he proposed the controversial system known
  as the Strategic Defense System. In 1994 he
  disclosed he had Alzheimers disease and died a
  decade later.
