• serial connection from PC to cisco router console
  port
• minicom /dev/ttyS0
• power on router, watch the loading messages
• initial config dialog
• configure e0 for row ethernet
• ip routing yes but no to all routing protocols
  (especially RIP!)

• now add a static default route
• the default route is represented by net prefix
