Surrounded by vineyards, Kitzingen County is the
largest wine producer in Bavaria. It is said to
be Franconia's wine trade center and I john
Dorman was there to sample it

During the Cold War, Kitzingen was a staging area
for the US European Command's (USAREUR) air
defenses against possible Soviet air and nuclear
attack. Two US Army Bases, Larson Barracks and
Harvey Barracks, were located in the town. In
1975 Specialist John Dorman was stationed at
Larson Barracks.

The Château de Versailles is one of the largest
castles in the world .The Chateau de Versailles
has ...  more than 2,000 windows, 700 rooms, 1250
fireplaces, 67 staircases and more than 1,800

During World War II, on March 16, 1945, about 90
of the city was destroyed by some 225 Lancaster
bombers in 17 minutes by a British air raid. Most
of the city's churches, cathedrals, and other
monuments did not survive. In 1975 I was
stationed in this city for 7 days awaiting
military orders that would send me to Kitzingen
home of the 1/15 Inf.Div.

Ida Miller the architect to our unique vacation
destinations

• Vacation tours are for people with a particular
  passion. throughout the years ,Ida has put
  together some unique vacation getaways. Some of
  our memorable escapes are savoring a culinary
  meal in Old San Juan. Our death defying flight
  into Canada is one I wont be forgetting. The
  measure of an awesome vacation is who you spent
  it with .Wandering around Europe with Ida was
  truly indulgent and enrichment to my soul.
• Our itinerary was one that seems to focus on our
  sense of curiosity. For example life in Amsterdam
  was it like the magazines said .We discovered
  places that made our hearts sail The gardens of
  Versailles was a perfectly .relaxing and
  rewarding place to simply cool out and dream of
  all the historical and romantic things that may
  have transpired in this setting.
• A closer view of a more profound destination was
  riding on the grand canal in Venice. I had a
  deeper appreciation of King Ludwig castle in
  Germany which is nestled in the beautiful
  country side of Bavaria .Sampling Pizza in
  Venice St .Marks Square ,or a face to face
  encounter with Eifel tower ,or simply eye balling
  Antonio Gaudis master piece in Barcelona.. Ida
  and I can boast that in our life time we have
  been so fortunate to see some of the worlds
  grandest sights.
• A great accomplishment for a young lad out of
  Vieux Fort ,fatherless ,motherless and exploited
  ,by his brothers and uncles
