3- Chronic illness has become the norm in the United
States. - I don't think the rise in obesity and the rise in
chronic illness is a coincidence.
4Are You Sleepy During The Day?
- Along with proper nutrition and exercise,
sleeping and getting proper rest is SUPER
important! The body heals when we are sleeping.
If you said yes, you may need some extra
sleep at night if you are feeling tired.
5How Long Can You Walk and Still Feel Good?
- Did you know that the minimum that most people
need to maintain a healthy weight and prevent
disease is thirty minutes of moderate activity
five days a week? -
If you have trouble walking for more than five or
ten minutes, this is a good indication that you
may need to start exercising.
6How Big Around Is Your Waist?
- The link between obesity and heart disease and
diabetes is becoming quite well known these days.
(Finally!) -
But, even a greater risk for heart disease is
abdominal obesity. Your waist shouldn't be any
more than half of your height in inches. (Go
get that tape measure)!

Refined and processed foods are full of chemicals
that give you flavor, but, hardly any true
nutritional value.
Eating whole grains provides excellent
carbohydrates that are rich in fiber and
nutrition. Whole grains have been linked to
reducing your risk of heart disease, some
cancers, and type 2 diabetes.
9Is There More Meat Or Pasta On Your Plate?
- TRICK QUESTION!!
- I didn't include fresh fruits and
vegetables! Your plate should mostly be fresh
produce, with about 3 ounces of meat, and about
one to two servings of whole grains. This would
be about 1/2 to 1 cup of whole grains.
